Cloud DevOps Engineer

Location: REMOTE duration: 2 to 3 months (Maybe longer) or could be part of longer-term conversion possible

For a cloud-based engineer with EKS Anywhere experience, the role would typically align to a Cloud Engineer / Kubernetes Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer profile.

Role Focus

Build, deploy, and manage Kubernetes-based platforms using Amazon EKS Anywhere
Support hybrid environments across AWS cloud and on-prem data centers
Help modernize infrastructure and enable containerized application deployments

Core Technical Skills

Strong experience with Kubernetes
Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS / EKS Anywhere
AWS cloud services and architecture
Hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure experience
Containerization using Docker
Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
Linux systems administration
Networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, routing, and VPNs

EKS Anywhere-Specific Experience

Deploying and managing EKS Anywhere clusters
Supporting Kubernetes clusters on bare metal, VMware vSphere, or other on-prem platforms

Understanding of hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-prem environments
