The Airport Operations Crew provides award-winning customer service to Customers in the airport. The Crewmember checks in and verifies Customersu2019 personal identification; tags, lifts, and handles Customer luggage; books, sells, and verifies flight reservations; meets and assists with flight arrivals and departures; helps prepare aircraft cabin for departure; coordinates Customer boarding and deplaning; assists Customers with special needs; and complies with any ad-hoc requests as needed. Individuals must excel at serving Customers and be comfortable speaking on a public address system, using computers and airport equipment.nnEssential Functions:nn tVerify Customesu2019 personal identificationn tTag, lift, and handle Customer luggagen tAnnounce flight arrivals, departures, and pre-boarding information via the public address systemn tCommunicate with our Customers to keep them constantly informedn tOffer ancillary products to our customers such as u201ceven more speedu201d and u201ceven more spaceu201dn tCoordinate various duties with coworkers and other departments to ensure proper handling of Customersn tHelp prepare aircraft cabin for Customer boarding and departure, which includes cleaning of seats, seat-pockets, and floorn tOperation of airport equipment, e.g. customer enplaning/deplaning equipment such a Jet bridge, Turbo way, airstairs, etc.n tAssist Customers with special needs, e.g. Customers who need assistance in boardingn tCrewmembers will be required to perform and/ or rotate through all Airport Operations related functions (gate, ticket counter, etc.)n tOther duties as assignednnMinimum Experience and Qualificationsnn tHigh School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploman tAt least eighteen (18) years oldn tOne (1) year customer service or sales experiencen tStrong interpersonal and listening skillsn tComplete fluency in written and spoken Englishn tSuccessfully complete a customer service assessmentn tMust be able to adhere to JetBlue Uniform Policy Manual Standardsn tAble to travel and/or work variable hours, flexible shifts, including holidays and weekendsn tExperience using a mouse, computer, keyboard and basic word processing, email and office applicationsn tMust be able to use handheld radios and microphones to communicate with operations and make all terminal announcementsn tMust be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badgen tExperience performing under pressure and within fixed time constraintsn tDepending upon location, may need to possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue Airwaysu2019 insurance standardsn tDepending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearancen tAvailable for occasional overnight travel (10%)n tLegally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedn tAuthorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorshipn tPass apre-employment drug testnnPreferred Experience and Qualificationsnn tTwo (2) years customer service, volunteer experience or sales experiencen tKnowledge of customer service principles and practices stronglyn tExperience working with various forms of payment (cash, credit cards, travelers checks, etc.)n tPrevious airline experiencen tBilingual skillsn
