Wythenshawe FC is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and personable Matchday Host / Hostess to become the face of our brand-new 1946 Suite.

The 1946 Suite is our new matchday hospitality facility, created to provide an enhanced experience for match sponsors, club partners, VIP guests and supporters enjoying hospitality at Wythenshawe FC.

We are looking for someone with the personality, confidence and attention to detail to ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and an excellent experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.

THE ROLE

Working alongside our clubhouse, catering and wider matchday teams, you will take responsibility for looking after hospitality guests throughout the day.

Duties will include:

Welcoming hospitality guests on arrival
Checking bookings and guest lists
Showing guests to their allocated tables
Explaining the day's hospitality arrangements and running order
Acting as the main point of contact for hospitality guests
Engaging with guests and creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
Liaising with bar, catering and matchday staff
Coordinating pre and post-match player and management Q&As
Distributing teamsheets and relevant matchday information
Organising hospitality competitions, raffles and draws
Ensuring the suite and tables remain well presented throughout the event
Keeping guests informed of timings including dining, kick-off, half-time and full-time
Assisting with hospitality and drinks service during particularly busy periods
Dealing with guest requests or issues in a friendly and professional manner
Building relationships with returning hospitality guests, sponsors and club partners
Helping ensure every guest leaves having enjoyed their experience at Wythenshawe FC

Previous experience within hospitality, hotels, restaurants, events, corporate hospitality or customer service would be advantageous, although we are equally interested in applicants who demonstrate the right personality and attributes for the role.

An in-depth knowledge of football isn't necessary, although an interest in the game would be beneficial.

MATCHDAYS & HOURS

The role will primarily cover Wythenshawe FC Men's First Team home fixtures, which are predominantly played on Saturday afternoons with occasional midweek evening fixtures.

There will also be opportunities to host hospitality at selected:

Women's First Team fixtures
Vets fixtures and events
Cup matches
Club and private events held within the 1946 Suite

Typical Saturday Men's First Team hours will be approximately 12:00pm – 6:00pm, although hours will vary depending on the fixture or event.

Applicants will therefore need a good level of flexibility around weekend and occasional evening work.

PAY

Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience.

This is an important role within our new hospitality offering and we are looking for someone who will take pride in representing Wythenshawe FC and delivering a first-class experience to our guests.
