Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking detail-oriented and experienced accounting professionals to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a fully remote position with all necessary equipment (including a laptop) provided by the company. Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals.
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
Handle accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external auditors.
Identify discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and recommend process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

Minimum 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience (freshers with strong academic knowledge may apply).
Prior remote work experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Working Hours:

Flexible work schedule with core hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (adjustable based on time zone).
Monday to Friday.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Deep knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Familiarity with tax laws and compliance requirements.
Ability to handle confidential financial data with integrity.
Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
