<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>UW Medical Center-Northwest - Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning</strong> has an outstanding opportunity for a <strong>Rotating Shift (days and nights) Registered Nurse</strong>.<br><br><strong>WORK SCHEDULE<br><br></strong><ul><li>36 hours per week</li><li>3x12 shift schedule</li><li>Must be available to work a rotating mix of day shifts (7:00am-7:30pm) and night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am)<br><br></li></ul><strong>Department Description<br><br></strong><ul><li>The Medical-Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning supports a wide range of individuals, including general acute care patients, telemetry monitoring patients, and patients with multiple behavioral health comorbidities.</li><li>We have 50 beds split between two floors. This position will specifically work on our third floor, which has 25 beds.</li><li>Our patients receive holistic treatment, addressing their physical, medical, and mental health needs.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Primary Job Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Provide medical-surgical care to behavioral health patients, including those with psychiatric comorbidities</li><li>Ensure patient safety protocols are followed, including restraint protocols</li><li>Administer oral and injectable medications</li><li>Monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment</li><li>Assess and manage pain</li><li>Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and their families</li><li>Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>1 year of recent medical-surgical RN work experience</li><li>Active BLS</li><li>Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State<br><br></li></ul><strong>About Uw Medical Center-northwest<br><br></strong>UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
