As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time
Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious conditions or policy violations, and document incidents according to site procedures.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions, escorts, and other service-related needs while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals as needed.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
