Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks to enhance their dining experience
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating beverage service expertise
Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest relations and personalized service
Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and sanitation guidelines
Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas swiftly, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
Ability to multitask effectively while managing time in a fast-paced setting
Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and handling cash confidently
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Previous experience in roles such as host/hostess or cashier is beneficial; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction through attentive service
