Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using inventory management software and RF scanners
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately for delivery
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Maintain accurate data entry within warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms
- Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit and optimize space utilization in pallets and containers
- Coordinate with logistics partners to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve any shipping & receiving issues promptly
- Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update stock levels within inventory management software
- Support order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms, ensuring timely processing of customer orders
- Comply with trade regulations and international trade laws during cross-border shipments
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment supporting overall warehouse operations
- Proven experience in warehouse management system (WMS), inventory management software, or ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP platforms
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order picking & packing, and stock stocking procedures
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification preferred
- Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining precise records
- Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and external partners
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly desirable
- Familiarity with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards is a plus
