<strong>Description<br><br></strong>Amazon Shopping Design seeks a UX Designer to define and drive the future of shopping at Amazon. In this role, you will work with voice and graphic interfaces in a fast-paced environment. From inception through launch, you will be a design owner, responsible for delivering ambitious concepts and using data to iterate and improve — translating needs and constraints into simple, intuitive, customer-focused solutions.<br><br>The Amazon Shopping Design team brings together curious designers who collaborate to power the Amazon shopping experience and deliver innovation at incredible scale. We're excited to welcome a creative and driven designer to help us build best-in-class shopping experiences for millions of customers worldwide.<br><br>You will define, concept, and execute end-to-end experiences while working with your design partners and leadership. You will drive that vision into solid design deliverables, including multi-modal user interface designs and frameworks for voice and screen, interaction models, design specs, and prototypes. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and marketing — both inside our organization and with partner teams.<br><br>The ideal candidate will have experience with early-stage product development for multi-modal consumer experiences and be passionate, focused, and relentless.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Design solutions for difficult design and technical problems where product strategy is not fully defined</li><li> Create conceptual sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes</li><li> Collaborate effectively across diverse teams and disciplines to drive alignment and efficiency</li><li> Develop and improve design patterns, standards, and processes that scale for your team</li><li> Lead brainstorming sessions and present at cross-team reviews to demonstrate features and drive design decisions</li><li> Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data (metrics, usability studies) to inform product-level customer experience decisions</li><li> Work closely with engineering to incorporate capabilities and constraints of the technology stack</li><li> Balance short- and long-term design requirements against engineering constraints<br><br></li></ul><strong>Basic Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> 7+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience</li><li> Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices</li><li> Knowledge of mobile and web design patterns and accessibility standards</li><li> A portfolio demonstrating the product design lifecycle<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> Experience with UX design of complex workflows</li><li> Experience owning end-to-end programs to drive results</li><li> Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity</li><li> Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly convey new concepts</li><li> Experience working closely with development and product management teams</li><li> Experience conducting usability and contextual research with customers</li><li> Experience designing multi-modal product experiences, with conversancy in natural language conversation</li><li> Experience defining and driving creative solutions in new or ambiguous product territory</li><li> Experience as a lead design contributor for UX and conversational design<br><br></li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.<br><br>Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
