This is a highly physical, architectural warehouse role executed entirely during the graveyard hours. Your primary objective is to receive sorted packages from the conveyor chutes and construct flawlessly balanced, structurally sound pallets capable of surviving cross-country transit on commercial semi-trailers. This position demands an advanced understanding of weight distribution, spatial geometry (often referred to internally as "Logistical Tetris"), and an uncompromising dedication to safety protocols in a nocturnal industrial setting. Core Operational Directives

Your daily mandate revolves around the physical construction and staging of outbound freight during the quietest hours of the night. You will operate at the base of the sortation chutes, transforming loose packages into secure, transportable units.

• Structural Pallet Assembly: Execute the rapid, highly organized stacking of packages onto standard wooden or plastic pallets. You must intuitively assess the size, weight, and crush-rating of each box, placing heavy items at the base and lighter items at the apex to ensure perfect structural balance.
• Nocturnal Freight Securing: Utilize heavy-duty industrial shrink-wrap dispensers to securely bind the completed pallets. You must apply appropriate tension to prevent any package shifting during transit, ensuring the pallet can be safely loaded via forklift or pallet jack without collapsing.
• Digital Placard Integration: Ensure perfect downstream routing accuracy by digitally linking the built pallet to the correct geographical destination. You will utilize handheld RF scanners to generate and affix a master routing placard to the shrink-wrapped unit before moving it to the outbound dock.
• Safe Material Handling: Operate manual pallet jacks to safely transport completed pallets weighing hundreds of pounds from the build zone to the designated staging lanes under artificial warehouse lighting, strictly adhering to pedestrian and equipment right-of-way rules.

The 3rd Shift Pallet Builder operates in the most physically demanding sector of the Sortation Center. Your 10-hour overnight shift will be spent in continuous motion—bending, lifting, twisting, and pulling. The environment is highly mechanized and loud, featuring the constant hum of conveyor belts and the beeping of industrial trucks. You will work within a tight-knit graveyard crew, relying heavily on team communication to clear jammed chutes and manage sudden influxes of volume during the midnight peak. The ambient temperature of the facility is climate-controlled, but the sheer physical output of the role will require you to remain highly hydrated. Strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including impact-resistant footwear and safety gloves, is absolutely mandatory.
