Beta Reader Needed for Clean/Sweet Billionaire Romance – $45

I’m looking for a beta reader who regularly reads clean/sweet romance, especially billionaire, small-town, workplace, or fake-dating romance.

I have a completed 37,075-word clean/sweet billionaire romance that I’m getting ready for publication, and I would like another set of eyes on it before I move into final editing.

The working title is Fake Dating the Billionaire.

The book has already been through several rounds of revision. I did use AI as a writing tool during the drafting and revision process, so one of the things I especially want is an actual human reader’s reaction. I want to know if anything feels unnatural, repetitive, emotionally flat, rushed, formulaic, or obviously AI-assisted.

I am not looking for proofreading or line editing at this stage. I’m looking for honest reader-level developmental feedback from someone who understands this kind of romance.

The beta read will have two required parts:

1. Inline comments in the manuscript

This is very important to me. As you read, I would like you to leave comments directly in the manuscript when you notice things such as:

Confusing sections

Repetitive phrasing

Dialogue that feels unnatural

Plot inconsistencies

Timeline or continuity problems

Scenes that feel unnecessary

Repeated gestures or emotional reactions

Places that feel AI-written or formulaic

Areas where the emotional impact could be stronger

You do not need to line edit the manuscript or correct every grammar issue. I mainly want comments anywhere something pulls you out of the story or makes you think, This needs another look.

2. Completed Beta Reader Report

I have a beta-reader questionnaire that I will provide. I would like the entire report completed as part of the job.

It covers:

Overall impression and whether the story held your attention

Plot and structure

Character development and believability

Pacing

Writing quality

Voice and tone consistency

Tense, POV, and grammar issues that affect readability

Timeline and continuity

AI-specific writing issues

Clean/sweet romance expectations

Whether the romance and chemistry feel believable

Whether the relationship develops naturally

Whether the fake-dating portion feels satisfying

Whether the first kiss feels earned and happens at the right point

Whether the ending feels complete and satisfying

The book’s three biggest strengths

The three biggest areas that need improvement

What you would fix first if this were your book

I am especially interested in knowing where you lost interest, wanted more, felt something moved too quickly, or found yourself wanting to skim.

And I want an honest answer to this question:

If you were not being paid to beta read this manuscript, would you have kept turning the pages? Why or why not?

Please don’t feel like you need to tell me everything is wonderful. Kind feedback is appreciated, but honest feedback is what I’m paying for. If something isn’t working, I want to know before I publish it.
