The WW Grocery Stores FP&A organization is dedicated to working closely with our leadership teams, including Whole Foods Market, Fresh, and core Amazon.com, to report performance and formulate the medium and long term financial and strategic plans for grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon. We seek to increase efficiency and profitability by analyzing financial and operational results/plans to better understand business performance and communicate it to senior management. We are seeking a Finance Manager to support planning cycles and strategic projects. This role supports the senior leadership team within Amazon grocery business and will own delivering key planning reports, leading periodic reviews, providing valuable insight for decision-making, and recommending cost-saving opportunities. The role also offers the opportunity to think creatively about how we work—automating and standardizing processes, building solutions that leverage AI, and partnering with tech teams to enhance our reporting tools and data infrastructure. This role partners regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across our organization, often at some of the most senior levels within the company. The leader must be effective at working through teams to consolidate and articulate the overall drivers of current and future performance as well as providing timely and accurate insight to Amazon senior leadership. That means the leader is a collaborator and good at stitching together multiple inputs to tell an accurate and insightful story of what’s happening. The leader needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment. Excellent analytical and verbal/written communication skills are critical in this role. The successful candidate has demonstrated the following abilities: they are self-starters, analytical, collaborate and influence business/finance partners, support thoughtful decision-making in a rapidly-evolving and ambiguous environment, and think long-term. Key job responsibilities <ul><li> Support planning cycles (e.g., rest-of-year, 1-year, 3-year, 10-year), including preparing financials reports and P&Ls, conducting in-depth analysis, and collecting key insight from finance partners.</li><li> Drive strategic projects across our Amazon Grocery banners.</li><li> Provide valuable insight for decision-making and financial planning.</li><li> Analyze and recommend cost-saving opportunities.</li><li> Support WW Amazon Stores Finance (IPAT) and Corporate FP&A to communicate grocery plans and performance to Amazon senior leadership and Board of Directors.</li><li> Continue developing the team’s vision, establish a positive team culture, and develop top talent. </li></ul>Basic Qualifications <ul><li> 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience</li><li> 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience</li><li> 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience</li><li> 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience</li><li> Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li> 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience</li><li> MBA, or CPA</li><li> Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)</li><li> Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results </li></ul>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
