Duties

Design and develop comprehensive lesson plans tailored to students’ learning styles and educational needs across multiple subjects including science, mathematics, English language arts, and early childhood education.
Deliver engaging online instruction using a variety of learning technologies and digital tools to enhance student understanding and participation.
Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds, special education needs, and varying levels of learner proficiency.
Provide personalized tutoring sessions in areas such as SAT preparation, science, math, English language arts, and writing skills to support individual student goals.
Assess student progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, and interactive activities; provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
Maintain clear communication with students and parents or guardians regarding academic progress, upcoming lessons, and areas for improvement.
Manage virtual classroom environments effectively by implementing classroom management techniques that foster respectful and productive learning atmospheres.

Qualifications

Proven experience in online instruction or tutoring with a strong understanding of instructional adaptability and working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Expertise in curriculum development for various age groups and subject areas including science, math (with experience teaching math), English language arts (including teaching English language arts), early childhood education, preschool experience, or special education.
Proficiency with learning technology platforms and digital tools used for virtual teaching and lesson planning.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and clearly convey complex concepts.
Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, managing multiple students simultaneously, and tracking progress effectively.
Experience working with children or adult learners in educational settings; classroom management skills are highly valued.
Flexibility to adapt lessons based on individual learning styles and evolving educational needs.
