## Online Grocery Pick - Up Clerk – In - Store Grocery Shopper Are you someone who enjoys moving quickly, staying organized, and making sure every order is exactly right? As an Online Grocery Pick - Up Clerk, you'll be the person behind the scenes (and at the curb) who brings customers' online grocery orders to life. You'll select items with care, pack them properly, and hand them off with a smile — all while keeping quality and freshness top of mind. ### What You'll Do Day to Day Your main focus is picking products for online orders efficiently. You'll read shelf tags, follow the item list, and make smart substitutions when something's out of stock — always following our policies to keep the customer happy. Along the way, you'll scan and bag orders on the go, making sure everything follows our bagging standards. When customers arrive for pickup, you'll help assemble their orders, process coupons and payments through our point-of-sale (POS) system, and load the groceries into their cars. You'll also communicate substitutions or any order changes directly with the customer, either in person or over a portable phone. It's all about making the pickup experience smooth and friendly. You'll also help keep the staging areas clean and organized, inspect equipment for needed repairs, and follow all food safety and company guidelines. Opening and closing duties are part of the role, and you may assist in training new team members. Throughout the shift, you'll work to meet productivity standards while keeping a positive, helpful attitude. ### What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can work without direct supervision and has solid basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction). You should be comfortable reading shelf tags and following written directions — especially the notes customers leave on their orders. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must, since you'll be interacting with customers and teammates regularly. Previous experience as a personal shopper, in a warehouse or production environment, stocking shelves, or working as a cashier is a plus — but not required. We're happy to train the right person who has the right attitude. ### The Environment & Expectations This role can be fast-paced and sometimes stressful, especially during busy periods. You'll need to work cooperatively with others, manage conflicts calmly, and act with honesty and integrity when handling customer and business information.
