Payment Processing Officer

The Payment Processing Officer is responsible for accurately managing and processing financial transactions, payments, and related accounting activities within the organization. This role involves reviewing payment requests, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounts payable and receivable functions, and ensuring that all transactions comply with established policies and procedures.

The Payment Processing Officer works closely with finance teams, vendors, and internal departments to ensure payments are prepared and processed accurately and on time. The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and the ability to manage financial information efficiently.

Task:

Review and verify financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies.

Support accounts receivable activities, including recording pledges, invoices, payments, deposits, and related transactions.

Process weekly accounts payable activities, including data entry, payment preparation, verification, and distribution.

Reconcile purchasing card transactions and ensure all required supporting documentation is complete and properly maintained.

Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions and payment activities.

Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies and obtain necessary documentation.

Assist with routine financial reporting, reconciliation, and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
