This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s new state-of-the-art game development studio in Carlsbad, CA What We Do <ul><li>The Rockstar Games Technical Art team creates, maintains and enhances tools and workflows for artists across our Art, Animation, and VFX teams. </li><li>We create and maintain photogrammetry tools and pipelines, and support live scan sessions. </li><li>We drive innovation and efficiency in our pipelines by continuously researching and developing new technology. </li></ul>Responsibilities <ul><li>Design, develop, and support tools and pipelines in DCC and standalone contexts. </li><li>Develop automated solutions for data processing. </li><li>Stay informed on the latest technology and research related to the art of data pipelines and machine learning. </li><li>Write clear and detailed documentation for tools and workflows. </li><li>Diagnose and solve technical issues affecting artists. </li></ul>Requirements <ul><li>5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist, Technical Director, Tools Programmer, or similar. </li><li>Experience developing tools for DCCs like Houdini, Zbrush, Agisoft, or Metashape. </li><li>Experience working through a full game production cycle or long-term project. </li><li>A strong understanding of Photogrammetry workflows and software. </li><li>Proficiency in Python. </li><li>Experience with build systems like Jenkins, Airflow, or Celery. </li><li>An understanding of a 3D asset pipeline and color management. </li><li>Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. </li></ul>PLUSES Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position. <ul><li>A degree in Computer Science or related discipline. </li><li>C++ programming skills. </li><li>Experience working with package management and deployment systems like Rez or PyPi. </li><li>Experience with ML based photogrammetry workflows like Gaussian Splats or Nerfs. </li></ul>How To Apply Please apply with a resume and cover letter demonstrating how you meet the skills above.
