Social Media Content Associate (Paid, Remote, Part-Time) | Our Common Nature | Handshake
ClarityForge Studios is a small media studio that produces podcasts and social content for energy and science experts. Our clients include Volts, hosted by David Roberts, and Energy Capital. We help people who know a lot about hard topics get heard. We are looking for a university student who writes well and enjoys creating social content and talking with people online.
What you will do
- Rewrite and sharpen social copy for podcast clips across LinkedIn, X, and YouTube so it sounds human and specific, not like AI
- Draft thoughtful replies and join conversations around our clients' posts. Everything is reviewed before it goes live while you ramp up
- Work from a short voice guide for each client
- Flag anything sensitive or unclear instead of guessing
- Send a short weekly note on what you shipped and what you learned
How it works
Our ops team preps the clips and loads them into the scheduler. You take it from there on copy and engagement. The founder reviews and approves your work, and you will get direct feedback every week.
Who you are
- A strong writer. This matters more than your major, though communications, journalism, PR, advertising, and English students tend to do well
- Able to tell good social content from empty content
- Curious about energy, science, or podcasts. Expertise is not required, we will teach you the basics
- Reliable, and good at asking questions early instead of guessing
Bonus, not required
Comfortable on camera and willing to record quick videos of themselves talking about topics. If that is not your thing, you will not be penalized. We have editors that take that and create content from it. This could be a way to grow your brand if that's something you're interested in.
Room to grow
If you need more hours there is definite potential for a lot more or post-graduation work. We are expanding into TikTok and Instagram, so the role and the hours can grow with those channels too.
Details
- Remote, 6 to 10 hours a week, flexible around classes and finals
- $18 to $22 an hour depending on experience
- Four week paid trial with a clear scoring rubric shared on day one
- Strong performers can continue through the spring semester
To apply
Submit your resume and a link to a writing sample. Put the word sunrise in the first line of your cover note, then answer these three questions:
- Here is a rough caption for a podcast clip: Our guest explains why the grid struggles in extreme weather and what could help. Rewrite it in two or three sentences for LinkedIn so it sounds like a smart person wrote it.
- Someone comments on a client's post with a technical question you cannot answer. What do you do?
- Why does this role interest you?
Applications missing the writing sample or the three answers will not be reviewed.
