Administrative Technician - Intellectual & Dev. Disability(1189)
About the position
Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking an Administrative Technician (1189) to deliver trauma-informed care and supervision to adults (18+) across Amarillo and the surrounding service area of the Texas Panhandle. This role is ideal for human services graduates looking to gain direct clinical experience in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language.
- Manage and supervise staff who provide direct care of individuals attending the Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS)/Day Habilitation program.
- Provide supervision and care to clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
- Hire, train, and supervise assigned direct care staff.
- Attend meetings and collaborate with the team and clients to create strategies, and plans for each client to reach their goals in the program.
- Complete necessary documentation within requested timelines.
- Meet established productivity standards.
- Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns when ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised.

- Valid Texas Driver’s License with an insurable driving record.
- At least 18 years of age.

Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.
- American Sign Language proficiency is a strong plus.
- 1 to 3 years of direct staff supervision, team leadership, or program management experience.
- Direct care background involving hands-on service delivery or care coordination for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Experience coordinating and assisting in the arts and crafts, music, education, and recreation activities.
- Ability to provide training, maintain records, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to interact easily with people in a variety of situations and settings.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing and have basic computer skills.
- Experience in designing programs and working with persons with Intellectual and developments disabilities.
