Internet of Things Specialist
Company Description Milvian AI is an applied technology company that selects and integrates the most effective technologies to solve real business problems for its customers. The organization focuses on generative AI, sensor technology, and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, striving to be a gold standard for service and support in the tech industry. Milvian AI’s Aqueduct platform combines AI-powered facility management with smart building sensor technology to optimize energy, water, gas, equipment, and air quality across commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.
Using generative AI and digital twin technology, Aqueduct analyzes real-time building data to detect inefficiencies, anomalies, and potential issues before they lead to breakdowns or compliance violations. The platform also delivers automated, insight-driven reports that help organizations reduce utility costs and improve operational efficiency.
Role Description The Internet of Things Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IoT solutions that support Milvian AI’s Aqueduct platform and related offerings. This role involves integrating sensors and IoT devices with existing building systems, configuring device communication (including M2M protocols), and ensuring reliable data collection and transmission. The specialist will collaborate with software development and product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, troubleshoot issues in production environments, and optimize system performance.
Day-to-day tasks include analyzing IoT data flows, validating device performance, documenting architectures and configurations, and contributing to continuous improvements in security, scalability, and maintainability. The role also includes regular communication with cross-functional stakeholders and occasional interaction with customers to support deployments and resolve technical challenges.
