Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Support proxy statements and registration statements, including S-1 and S-3 filings
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Work closely with the CFO, Accounting Manager, Legal team, external accounting partners, and auditors
  • Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and other third-party partners
  • Research and document technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
  • Support accounting for equity issuances, stock-based compensation, convertible instruments, and other complex transactions
  • Support disclosure controls and internal control processes
  • Help improve financial reporting workflows, close processes, and accounting infrastructure
  • Participate in financing, M&A, and strategic finance projects as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Active CPA license
  • Public-company accounting experience
  • Strong hands-on SEC reporting experience
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 10-K and 10-Q
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment

Preferred

  • Big 4 or national public accounting experience
  • Experience working with PCAOB audits and external auditors
  • Experience with small-cap or high-growth public companies
  • Experience with equity and convertible debt accounting
  • Experience with stock-based compensation
  • Experience with S-1/S-3 registration statements
  • Experience with SOX and internal controls
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems

Ideal Candidate

  • Hands-on and execution-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong communicator with sound professional judgment
  • Able to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team
  • Comfortable working directly with senior leadership
  • Proactive and willing to jump in where needed
  • Interested in improving processes and helping build scalable financial reporting infrastructure
