Meet the Team

The Solutions Engineering team supporting Financial Services & Insurance (FSI) and Premier accounts at Cisco and Splunk serves as the primary technical authority for our largest, most regulated, and strategic enterprise accounts. We act as trusted advisors to CISOs, VPs of Engineering, and IT executives, architecting resilient cybersecurity, observability, and data platform solutions that meet rigorous compliance and governance standards. Our team culture values extreme ownership, deep intellectual curiosity, and cross-functional collaboration in navigating high-stakes enterprise sales cycles. Working at the intersection of Cisco's networking and security portfolio and Splunk's market-leading software, you will help global financial institutions modernize their mission-critical infrastructure while mitigating enterprise risk.

Your Impact

Partner directly with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, architectural validation, and qualification across high-value ($500K+) financial services and premier accounts. Deliver tailored, high-impact product demonstrations and build defensible architectural designs that translate complex technical capabilities into quantifiable business value and risk reduction. Own and execute technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs), navigating strict data residency, security compliance frameworks, and multi-stakeholder consensus criteria. Channel field intelligence and technical feedback back to Cisco and Splunk Product Management to shape roadmap priorities and expand blended portfolio adoption across enterprise accounts.

Minimum Qualifications

·       Minimum 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or customer-facing systems engineering supporting enterprise or regulated accounts (or Master’s degree plus 3 years / PhD).

·       Minimum 3 years of hands-on technical experience with at least two of the following: SIEM/SOC operations (threat detection, incident response), IT/DevOps observability (APM, metrics/logs/traces, OpenTelemetry), or regulatory compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMP).

·       Minimum 2 years of experience architecting or analyzing native logging, monitoring, and security telemetry across public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

·       Minimum 3 years of experience scoping and leading technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs), authoring technical RFP/RFI responses, and defending enterprise architecture designs.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical professional experience).

Preferred Qualifications

·       Proficiency writing Search Processing Language (SPL) queries and practical experience with Splunk Cloud/Enterprise architectures, Enterprise Security (ES), or IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).

·       Experience with data routing and pipeline optimization tools (such as Cribl Stream, Kafka, or Edge Processor) and architectural cost optimization strategies.

·       Ability to present complex architectural and risk-reduction strategies to CISOs, CTOs, and technical procurement committees.

·       Experience co-selling across large matrixed sales organizations, channel partners, and professional services/CSM ecosystems.

·       Experience with REST APIs, infrastructure-as-code automation (Ansible/Terraform), or technical credentials such as CISSP, CCNA/CCNP, or Splunk Certified Consultant.

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
