Sr Manager Procurement
The Senior Manager, Procurement leads procurement strategy, sourcing, and supplier management at the enterprise level. This role works across the organization to align purchasing activities with business needs, strengthen supplier relationships, and secure favourable commercial terms. The position also drives cost savings and procurement efficiencies while establishing consistent standards, controls, and reporting to support informed decision-making.

- 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
- In office position, office location in Galleria, Houston Texas
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide procurement strategies and sourcing initiatives that align with organizational objectives. Ensure sourcing activities balance cost effectiveness, quality, service levels, and long-term supplier viability.
- Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations with suppliers covering master service agreements, pricing structures, statements of work, and contract terms. Collaborate closely with legal, finance, and operational teams to safeguard organizational interests.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement continuous cost-reduction initiatives and procurement efficiencies across business units. Streamline purchasing workflows to eliminate redundancies and enhance overall organizational agility.
- Manage supplier performance through formal reviews, service-level monitoring, and performance metrics. Address performance deficiencies, resolve escalations proactively, and build collaborative supplier relationships.
- Assess and mitigate supplier risk, supply chain vulnerabilities, and regulatory compliance exposures across the enterprise. Establish preventative controls and business continuity mechanisms to maintain supply security.
- Partner cross-functionally with senior business leaders to understand strategic plans and forecast purchasing demands. Integrate procurement roadmaps into broader business budgeting and operational planning cycles.
- Establish and govern enterprise procurement policies, internal controls, compliance procedures, and auditing frameworks. Build standardized reporting dashboards and analytics to provide transparent visibility into organizational spend and realized savings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, category management principles, and end-to-end procurement lifecycles.
- Thorough understanding of commercial contracting practices, standard legal protections, and total cost of ownership models.
- Comprehensive knowledge of supplier risk assessment, market intelligence tools, compliance frameworks, and procurement governance controls.
- Advanced contract negotiation and dispute resolution skills with a proven track record of securing favourable pricing and commercial terms.
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills to evaluate complex supplier proposals and interpret organizational spend data.
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills to influence senior leadership, cross-functional partners, and external vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to translate organizational priorities into actionable purchasing forecasts and strategic sourcing roadmaps.
- Proven ability to design and implement enterprise procurement policies, operational controls, and reporting metrics across diverse departments.
- Ability to drive operational change, resolve vendor escalations, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience leading enterprise procurement functions, strategic sourcing operations, and high-value contract negotiations. This background should include proven success managing vendor relationships and realizing measurable cost savings
- Demonstrated experience collaborating directly with senior business leaders to forecast organizational purchasing needs and implement governance frameworks.
- Work is primarily performed in an office or remote-office setting, with regular use of a computer and participation in meetings with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or stationary standing at a desk or designated workstation. The role requires remaining focused and productive during extended desk-based working sessions.
- Continuous and extensive use of computer hardware, software applications, and peripherals such as monitors, keyboards, and mice. Frequent fine-motor dexterity is required for typing, data analysis, contract drafting, and general digital communication.
- Frequent verbal and auditory interaction during telephone calls, virtual video meetings, and in-person discussions. Must be able to clearly communicate complex procurement information, lead commercial negotiations, and present to executive stakeholders.
- Close visual acuity necessary to inspect, review, and analyze dense spreadsheets, detailed legal contracts, financial proposals, and performance dashboards. Sustained visual focus on digital display screens is required throughout the workday.
- Occasional movement throughout office buildings to attend meetings, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and access shared workplace facilities. May involve occasional light physical effort, such as lifting, carrying, or moving laptops, binders, or presentation materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
