Warehouse Operations Lead

Overall:

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Operations Lead is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse with emphasis on customer satisfaction, management of warehouse personnel and the implementation of warehouse action plans. This position is accountable for achieving overall operating results consistent with individual and company performance goals. The Operations Lead will direct ongoing communication and ensure results meet or exceed customer expectations for product quality and service while maintaining speed and accuracy. Additionally, the Operations Lead may oversee training of associates and ensures associates are provided ongoing skills development and coaching to improve job performance and enable individuals to improve their advancement potential within the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate performance of all departmental functions, address performance gaps, and take action as needed, to ensure the workers of each functional area are delivering on operating goals.

Assess business conditions and take action, working with the General Manager, to address opportunities to improve service and reduce costs.

Consistently Analyze business needs and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job throughout every day.

Organizes and Assigns tasks within scope of responsibility in such a way that both quality and productivity are optimized.

Assist in training, coaching and providing feedback to direct reports to enhance individual and team performance.

Assist in presenting team strategy to anyone within the organization.

Create high customer service expectations among leads andassociates and take action to correct performance gaps and/or address improvement opportunities.

Coordinate and communicate activities with management.

Accountable for maintaining a safe environment for associates and visitors within all areas in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations. Provide a safe working environment through personal actions.

Implement and enforce housekeeping and sanitation standards.

Coach direct reports to enhance individual and team performance.

Reviews warehouse layout and implements tool control to maximize efficiency within, with the coordination of General Manager.

Promote an open-door policy and team environment. Empower and encourage direct reports to utilize two-way communications.

Strengthen associate morale through empowerment, communication, treating employees with respect.

Ensure compliance with all Company policies, as well as all Federal, State and Local OSHA regulations

Assists and makes recommendations to the General Manager in researching and developing new techniques, procedures, and programs to increase the overall efficiency of the warehouse operation.

Ensures that needed repairs to all warehouse equipment are communicated to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

Perform activities of workers supervised.

Minimum Qualifications:

Forklift and picker experience

Good pc skills including experience using windows, word processing, spreadsheets, and email software.

Able to communicate complex and detailed information verbally in person, and in writing.

Compliance with all company policies and procedures.

A personal values system encompassing a strong work ethic, integrity, urgency, and a desire and willingness to assume responsibility.

A team player.

Demonstrates ability to interact across functions and with co-workers on a professional level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
