Our Call

GTI Connect is seeking an ambitious AI engineer, data scientist, or machine learning researcher interested in collaborating on the development of an AI-powered research platform focused on international trade, development, and evidence-based policymaking.

GTI Connect has developed a comprehensive international trade analytics platform covering 209 countries, 21 regions, and thousands of trade indicators from 1990–2024. Our next strategic phase is to develop AI research tools that can help researchers and policymakers extract insights, analyze complex trade patterns, and improve access to high-quality development data.

We are looking for someone who:

Has skills or strong interest in AI engineering, machine learning, large language models, data science, or research automation.
Wants to apply AI to a meaningful global development challenge.
Is interested in building a real-world AI research system rather than only completing tutorials or coursework.

This is an opportunity for a motivated individual to become an early technical collaborator in building a research infrastructure with global public-interest objectives.
