Boeing Global Services, Distribution Business is looking for an Associate Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. Position Summary: Completes initial verification for identification and damage on incoming/outgoing shipments. Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers. Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements. Validates Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for incoming/outgoing chemical shipments. Maintains inventory of shipping supplies. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Places parts in proper location after identifying and verifying part numbers</li><li>Uses a utility cart, identifies cartons by part number, uses a computer or laptop, cart, cycle counts product, hand scanner and PC.</li><li>Picking and filling orders using a laptop computer or hand scanner. Print and batch pick tickets and prepare warehouse pull and return.</li><li>Schedule, track and monitor both inbound and outbound shipments to ensure proper routing and storing of goods. Assist other departments as necessary in the research of transport and delivery inquiries</li><li>Complete export documentation and shipping manifests, including documentation required for the transport of dangerous goods. Assure orders are prepared properly to follow through on quality initiatives and to avoid safety or regulatory issues.</li><li> Demonstrate general knowledge of governmental trade compliance and environmental regulations as they apply to the storage, handling and transportation of dangerous goods.</li><li> Arrange for the most cost-efficient means of moving product to its destination while meeting customer deadlines.</li><li> Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements and the timely delivery of all products.</li><li> Participate and/or lead key projects to support continuous improvement philosophy</li><li>Load and off-load material to/from delivery truck, sort reconcile, enter information into ERP system, prepare for counting process</li><li>Pick-up and deliver material and/or documents within site.</li><li>Matches paperwork to box and prepares orders for billing/shipping.</li><li>Lift and carry cartons weighing up to 35 lbs. and manage cartons in excess of 35 lbs. utilizing available safety tools.</li><li>Performs other duties as needed. </li></ul>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): <ul><li>2-4 years of related work experience</li><li>Ability to lift and carry cartons weighing up to 35 lbs.</li><li>Ability to manage cartons in excess of 35 lbs. utilizing available safety tools</li><li>Ability to fluently, read, write and speak English</li><li>Warehouse experience</li><li>Experience in operating material handling equipment</li><li>Basic Computer Knowledge</li><li>Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook</li><li>Current valid driver’s license with clean driving record (at sites where driving forms part of the role)</li><li>Ability to stand and walk on cement floors for long periods of time throughout the workday</li><li>Ability to fluently read, write and speak English</li><li>Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (at sites where driving forms part of the role)</li><li>Must be detailed oriented, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere</li><li>Able to work in a cross functional team environment.</li><li>Experience in international shipping and distribution</li><li>Knowledge of transportation, shipping laws and procedures. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): <ul><li>High School Diploma / Equivalent, preferred </li></ul>This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
