Job Overview

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your customer service expertise while working in a spirited setting that celebrates the art of hospitality. The minimum/maximum pay is the average of what our bar servers make hourly with tips.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with menu selections, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and food offerings
  • Take accurate drink and food orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
  • Prepare and serve beverages responsibly, including cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine, adhering to safety standards and alcohol regulations
  • Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash and credit card payments securely
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area, glassware, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards
  • Support food service by bussing tables, assisting kitchen staff when needed, and ensuring guest comfort throughout their visit

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS and Square POS for order processing and sales management
  • Proven experience in food industry settings such as restaurants, nightclubs, or fine dining establishments
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs effectively
  • Excellent time management to prioritize tasks during busy hours without compromising quality
  • Familiarity with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation
  • Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing tabs efficiently
  • Food handling certifications and understanding of sanitation practices to ensure guest safety
  • Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently
