Director of Product, ClickHouse Cloud

As Director of Product Management, you'll define the multi-year strategy for the ClickHouse Cloud platform. You'll lead the product direction for foundational cloud capabilities such as multi-region replication, distributed query execution, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, storage architecture, and release management working closely with Engineering leadership to ensure ClickHouse Cloud continues to scale with the needs of our customers. You will <ul><li>Define the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for ClickHouse Cloud, covering cloud-native database capabilities including multi-region replication, distributed query execution, fault tolerance, storage tiering, schema evolution, and disaster recovery.</li><li>Partner closely with Engineering leadership to prioritize investments across the core database engine, storage layer, and query execution framework, ensuring Cloud evolves alongside our open-source platform while meeting enterprise customer needs.</li><li>Coach and mentor Product Managers across adjacent platform areas, helping drive prioritization, resolve cross-team dependencies, and maintain a cohesive platform strategy.</li><li>Partner with Design, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success to deliver compelling product launches and customer experiences.</li><li>Balance long-term platform investments with near-term customer commitments and business priorities.</li><li>Partner with Engineering leadership to make informed investment and resourcing decisions across the platform roadmap.</li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and cross-functional partners, providing clear visibility into product strategy, execution, risks, and trade-offs.</li><li>Represent ClickHouse with strategic customers, partners, and at industry events, translating customer needs into long-term product direction. </li></ul>You bring <ul><li>10+ years of Product Management experience, including significant experience defining strategy for cloud infrastructure, enterprise SaaS, developer platforms, or database products.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence product direction across multiple engineering teams and drive large cross-functional initiatives.</li><li>Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern data infrastructure.</li><li>Comfortable working at both strategic and technical levels, partnering closely with senior engineering leaders on architectural decisions.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, executives, customers, and external audiences. </li></ul>Technical Experience <ul><li>Strong understanding of SQL, query execution, indexing, partitioning, and database performance optimization.</li><li>Experience working with databases such as ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or other distributed or analytical database systems.</li><li>Familiarity with modern data infrastructure, including data lakes, ETL pipelines, CDC, orchestration platforms, and cloud-native data architectures.</li><li>Ability to discuss technical concepts such as schema management, query planning, storage engines, replication, consistency models, backup and recovery, and distributed systems design with engineering teams.</li><li>Experience shipping or contributing to complex infrastructure capabilities such as replication, disaster recovery, storage systems, consistency models, or backup and restore workflows. </li></ul>Leadership Experience <ul><li>Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.</li><li>Experience representing products with customers, analysts, or at industry conferences.</li><li>Track record of coaching, mentoring, or guiding Product Managers, either formally or informally. </li></ul>Bonus <ul><li>Experience working on or contributing to open-source projects.</li><li>Experience in high-growth startup environments. </li></ul>Perks <ul><li>Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly.
