Factory Technician, Weekend 2nd Shift | Nox Metals | Detroit, MI<br><br>Nox Metals is a technology company in Detroit supplying metal. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.<br><br>Shift hours: Friday to Sunday, 7PM to 7AM<br><br>You will:<br><br><ul><li>Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems</li><li>Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to spec</li><li>Run forklifts and overhead cranes</li><li>Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision</li><li>Take a clean handoff from the weekday team and leave the floor ready for Monday</li><li>Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders</li><li>Package, label, and stage outbound shipments</li><li>Record cut data and job completions in our software systems, accurately, every time</li><li>Always ask questions, never guess when something is unclear</li><li>Look at every process and figure out how to make it better</li><li>Keep the floor clean, organized, and ready for the next job</li><li>Work safely every shift and hold your teammates to the same standard<br><br></li></ul>You are:<br><br><ul><li>Knowledgeable or experienced in a factory, metals service center, bandsaws, industrial saws, CNC equipment, or skilled trades</li><li>Committed to safety, you follow every protocol, wear your PPE, and never cut corners that put people at risk</li><li>High attention to quality, every cut, every cert, every shipment</li><li>Always thinking about how to make processes better, you do not accept "this is how we have always done it"</li><li>Absolutely customer obsessed, delivery timelines matter because customers are counting on them</li><li>A team player with a good attitude, you make the shift better for everyone around you</li><li>Someone who takes ownership, if it is your shift, it is your responsibility</li><li>Precise under pressure and reliable, the weekend runs because you show up ready</li><li>Self-directed, you can run the floor with a smaller team and keep production moving</li><li>Comfortable with software, we track everything digitally and you will too</li><li>Organized and detail oriented</li><li>High agency, you handle big items alone and ask for help when needed</li><li>Low ego, you do the unglamorous work because it needs to get done</li><li>Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment on your feet for a full shift</li><li>Happy to work weekends as your primary schedule</li><li>Not afraid to work outside normal hours when America demands it</li><li>Never says "that's not my job"<br><br></li></ul>Nice to have:<br><br><ul><li>Experience in metals, aluminum, or aerospace/defense supply chains</li><li>Forklift and/or overhead crane certification</li><li>Background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</li><li>Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter<br><br></li></ul>This role is full time, in person in Detroit.<br><br>
