Work Schedule: Part Time, 24.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $100.00-400.00/hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Teaches Family Medicine residents in patient care settings and provides direct care for a panel of patients in the UCHealth Family Medicine Center, Fort Collins. Provides administrative support to the program.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care for an assigned panel of patients.
  • Supervises resident physicians in the Family Medicine Center and in other care settings and assists in supervision and support for Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants as assigned. (Poudre Valley Hospital or community-based facilities).
  • Performs and supervises relevant procedures that may include skin biopsies, gynecologic procedures, and vasectomies.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned including faculty development, didactics, resident advising, and curriculum development.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.
  • Unrestricted Colorado Board of Medical Examiners physician license. Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
  • Appropriate credentialing through Medical Staff Services. Medical staff membership at Poudre Valley Hospital. Diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
  • BLS/ACLS/ALSO/PALS/NRP certification.
  • Eligible to provide reimbursable Physician services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspector General (HHS/OIG) Cumulative Sanction Report or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program. Relevant clinical and/or teaching experience preferred.
