FBO Manager
The purpose of this position is to manage all functions of the Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) including , making pricing recommendations, marketing and the supervision of staff.<br><br><strong>Essential Duties And Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Ø Supervises staff by prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff training and compliance, adherence to policies and procedures, and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.<br><br>Ø Manages and coordinates all charter requests.<br><br>Ø Makes weekly fuel pricing recommendations.<br><br>Ø Serves as the Air Elite liaison.<br><br>Ø Manages the marketing of the FBO business.<br><br>Ø Attends applicable trade shows.<br><br>Ø Coordinates, implements & oversees training for customer service & line service.<br><br>Ø Assists with the FBO budget development and monitoring.<br><br>Ø Oversees all safety initiatives - National Air Transportation Association (NATA) Safety 1st & International Standard for Business Aircraft Handlers (IS-BAH) certifications.<br><br><strong>Supplemental Functions<br><br></strong>Ø Performs other similar duties as required.<br><br><strong>Knowledge<br><br></strong><strong>Job Specifications and Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>FBO Operations</li><li>Aviation Operations</li><li>Budget Management and Principles </li><li>Marketing Principles</li><li>Supervisory Principles</li><li>Applicable Local, State, and Federal Regulations<br><br></li></ul><strong>Licensing And Certifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Valid North Carolina Driver’s License PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must meet the City’s criteria for an acceptable driving record.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Using computers & spreadsheets</li><li>Prioritizing work</li><li>Budget management and tracking</li><li>Leadership Skills</li><li>Training Skills</li><li>Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Experience<br><br></strong>Associate’s degree or diploma from an accredited college or university. technical, business, vocation, or correspondence school; with at least five (5) years of relevant and supervisory experience; or the City may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.<br><br><strong><em>Please be sure to complete the application in full.
