What You'll Do
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient medical records.
- Review documentation to ensure accurate code assignment and MS-DRG reimbursement.
- Abstract clinical data while following official coding guidelines and facility requirements.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Collaborate with CDI specialists and providers to clarify documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) through AHIMA REQUIRED
- Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient coding experience preferred.
- Strong acute care inpatient coding experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRGs, and current coding guidelines.
- Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other major EMR systems preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to coding accuracy and quality.

Pay: $31.67 - $38.14 per hour
