The City of Seattle is seeking experienced, reliable and team-oriented HVAC Technicians to join our team. Our HVAC Technicians serve many locations including Seattle City Hall, Seattle Municipal Tower, Fleets Management garages, Seattle City Fire, and more. This recruitment will be used to fill multiple positions. Applications will be reviewed weekly and qualified candidates will be invited to participate in working and written testing. ABOUT USFAS is often the public's first interaction with the City of Seattle, operating as a customer-focused front door that assists with everything from paying utilities or reporting a pothole to requesting public information or even adopting a new pet. The 500-plus employees of FAS span across 10 divisions and work behind-the-scenes providing critical functions, like managing 120 City facilities—including police and fire stations—overseeing the City's neighborhood customer service centers and Customer Service Bureau and making sure minority-owned businesses can equitably compete for City contracts. City of Seattle Grade Ill Steam Engineer's license (This requires at least 3 years of employment in a position directly responsible for the operation of boilers, or educational substitution for experience, plus one year of experience.) City of Seattle Refrigeration Mechanic's License class A(This requires 3 years of experience conducting refrigeration repair and installation, as an apprentice to or as a journeyman refrigeration and/or air conditioning mechanic; or 2 years of training in a recognized school of technology, plus one year of experience in the refrigeration trade; or 2 years full-time experience in the refrigeration trade and graduation from a recognized trade school of refrigeration technology.)
