The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As the Key Account Distribution Leader – Grainger (Inside Sales - Southeast Region), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Inside Sales Growth Engine: Architect, lead, and scale high-velocity growth strategies across Grainger’s Inside Sales organization. Drive outbound call campaigns, digital enablement programs, and fast-paced conversion initiatives to aggressively expand 3M product penetration and capture market share.

• Southeast Regional Business Acceleration: Execute strategic channel growth plans across Grainger’s Southeast Region sales teams. Align with RSVPs, District Sales Managers and Account Managers in high-growth industrial, healthcare, government, and commercial segments to drive demand and accelerate revenue.

• Proactive Co-Selling & Channel Engagement: Lead proactive engagement initiatives with Grainger Inside Sales representatives and Southeast field teams. Serve as the primary 3M channel partner to co-sell, qualify leads, and close high-value industrial, safety, and commercial end-user opportunities.

• Program Deployment & High-Velocity Execution: Translate national 3M–Grainger strategic initiatives, growth programs, promotional campaigns, and New Product Introductions (NPI) into actionable execution for both Inside Sales desks and Southeast field sellers. Maximize the return on strategic supplier growth investments.

• Cross-Divisional Commercial Alignment: Serve as the central connector between 3M’s enterprise business divisions (including Personal Safety, Abrasives, and Industrial Adhesives & Tapes) and Grainger’s Inside Sales and Southeast sales organizations to present a unified, high-impact portfolio strategy.

• Data-Driven Opportunity Capture: Leverage POS reporting, pipeline analytics, and inside sales metrics to identify white-space targets, track competitor conversions, and rapidly deploy targeted sales plays where revenue velocity is highest.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

• Five (5) years of progressive experience in Regional Key Account Management, Industrial Distribution, or Sales Leadership

  in a private, public, government or military environment

• One (1) year of experience in Project Management frameworks in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Prior direct experience leading, managing, or partnering with large-scale B2B Inside Sales / Virtual Selling organizations. A deep operational understanding of inside sales cadences, digital selling tools, CRM workflow integration (Salesforce/SAP), phone-based outbound calling blitzes, and modern virtual enablement platforms.

• Proven track record of managing and growing major industrial distributors, with direct experience collaborating with W.W. Grainger's regional sales networks being highly desirable.

• Experience managing accounts across the Southeast industrial market.

Work Location: Remote: Southeast Region

Travel: May include up to 30% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $142,479 - $174,141, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
