Position Summary
Intermountain Nutrition, a food and nutrition manufacturing company based in Payson, Utah, is hiring dependable, detail-oriented Material Handlers to support its manufacturing operation. The Material Handler ensures production teams receive the correct materials, quantities, and supplies at the right time and location while maintaining accurate inventory and following safety, quality, and GMP requirements.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Stage and deliver raw materials, components, packaging, and supplies to production. Verify material identity, lot numbers, quantities, and production requirements.
- Enter and maintain accurate material and inventory transactions in the ERP/inventory system. Return unused materials to proper warehouse locations after production.
- Keep warehouse, staging, and storage areas organized and accurate. Identify and report shortages, incorrect materials, damaged products, and other production issues. Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Assist with inventory counts, reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies.
- Follow all company safety, food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
Qualifications
- 6+ months of forklift experience in warehouse, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, is required. Stand-up and sit-down forklift experience preferred.
- ERP, warehouse management, or inventory system experience. Ability to read and follow work orders, labels, material lists, and written procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy. Basic math and counting skills. Ability to recognize problems and communicate them promptly. Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance and ability to consistently work the assigned shift.
