This role is perfect for a developer who enjoys working at the intersection of high-level application logic and low-level system internals.</p><p>In this position, you will build the "brain" of our Debian-based systems—creating Go-based tools that manage software lifecycles, monitor service health, and ensure system-wide observability.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p><b>System Management Tooling:</b> Build and maintain Golang applications for Linux user-space management, focusing on Debian-based distributions.</p></li><li><p><b>Package Management & Monitoring:</b> Develop programmatic solutions to monitor installed packages, manage updates via apt/dpkg APIs, and ensure version consistency.</p></li><li><p><b>Service Observability:</b> Design systems to track service status, health metrics, and automated log retrieval/parsing for rapid troubleshooting.</p></li><li><p><b>Debian Packaging:</b> Oversee the packaging of internal software into production-ready .deb files, including post-install scripting and dependency management.</p></li><li><p><b>Architecture Design:</b> Lead the transition toward more modular, service-oriented system tools while maintaining peak performance in a Linux environment.</p></li></ul><p>Required Qualifications:</p><p><span>Education :</span><span> Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.</span></p><p><span>10+ years of professional software development experience.</span></p><p><span>Expert proficiency in Golang (Go) for systems-level programming.</span></p><p><span>Deep knowledge of Linux (User Space), including system calls, signals, and IPC.</span></p><p><span>Strong understanding of Linux system management (systemd, journald, file systems).</span></p><p><span>Hands-on experience with Debian packaging and package management internals.</span></p><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li><p><b>Microservices Development:</b> Experience designing distributed systems or microservice architectures to handle complex system tasks.</p></li><li><p><b>Python Programming:</b> Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or maintaining existing system utilities.</p></li><li><p><b>Security:</b> Familiarity with Linux security modules (AppArmor/SELinux) or secure boot concepts.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p><b>Performance Tuning:</b> Experience with profiling Go applications (pprof) and optimizing resource usage on embedded or server-grade Linux<b>ure Design:</b> Lead the transition toward more modular, service-oriented system tools while maintaining peak performance in a Linux environment.</p></li></ul><p>The Technical Landscape</p><p>Your work will sit be Why This Role?</p><p>You won't just be writing "apps"; you will be writing the software that keeps the operating system running smoothly.
