Product Manager – Firmware OTA & Lifecycle Management

Locations and Workstyle:
Irving, TX and Boca Raton, FL: Hybrid schedule - onsite a minimum of four days per week, with one remote day. Five days onsite may be required based on business needs.

Blue Bell, PA: Primarily remote; candidates should be within commuting distance of the Blue Bell office and able to work onsite as needed. Option to come onsite more frequently if desired.

We are looking for a Product Manager to own the end-to-end firmware release lifecycle across our connected product platforms. In this role, you will partner with teams across Product, Engineering, Security, Quality, Operations, Customer Care, and external partners to ensure devices remain secure, reliable, current, and supportable throughout their lifecycle.

You will serve as the central owner for release planning, over-the-air (OTA) deployment strategy, adoption, and post-release performance. Success in this role requires balancing customer impact, security priorities, operational risk, and business objectives while driving disciplined execution across multiple stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, coordinating across teams, and using data to improve release outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Develop integrated release plans covering validation, security reviews, certifications, dependencies, communications, operational readiness, and deployment milestones.
  • Lead release readiness reviews and establish rollout stages, customer segmentation strategies, success criteria, rollback plans, and escalation procedures.
  • Coordinate release execution across Engineering, Security, Quality, Customer Care, Field Operations, and external partners.
  • Monitor deployment health, adoption, update success and failure rates, version distribution, and exception trends.
  • Create dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into release performance, customer impact, and operational risk.
  • Drive recovery efforts for unsuccessful or stalled deployments and ensure issues are resolved through closure.
  • Lead post-release reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary owner and coordination point for legacy OTA platforms and migration-related activities.
  • Translate technical risks and system behavior into clear business impacts and customer-facing recommendations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, release dependencies, service expectations, and escalations.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Product Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Program Management, Device Lifecycle Management, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating customer-facing software or firmware releases across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience defining release requirements, rollout plans, readiness criteria, deployment metrics, and escalation processes.
  • Working knowledge of embedded firmware, connected-device ecosystems, OTA update systems, cloud services, and release pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and make data-driven decisions.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for Engineer I is $88,000.00 - $132,000.00 based on experience and qualifications.
