The role administers employee relations and performance management functions, provides administrative support to HR leadership, and supports employee engagement, culture, compliance, and workforce initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an HR resource to employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
- Assist the HR Director and Senior Director of HR with investigations involving employee complaints, workplace conflicts, policy violations, attendance, conduct, and other employee relations concerns
- Maintain appropriate documentation and confidential records related to employee relations matters
- Partner with managers to promote fair, consistent, and legally compliant employment practices
- Assist with corrective action, coaching, disciplinary documentation, performance improvement plans, and other employment actions
- Escalate complex or high-risk employee relations matters to the appropriate HR leader
- Help identify recurring employee relations trends and provide information and recommendations to HR leadership
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and psychologically safe workplace culture
- Coordinate and administer all segments of the organization's performance management process
- Support managers and employees with performance planning, goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and performance improvement processes
- Monitor performance management deadlines and follow up with appropriate leaders to ensure timely completion
- Assist HR leadership in developing performance management communications, resources, templates, and manager guidance
- Maintain accurate performance management records in the HCM
- Identify performance management trends and prepare reports for HR leadership
- Support managers in addressing performance concerns consistently and appropriately
- Assist with the development and implementation of performance management initiatives designed to improve employee accountability, engagement, development, and retention
- Provide direct administrative and operational support to the Senior HR Leadership team members
- Coordinate department meetings, agendas, calendars, presentations, reports, and follow-up activities
- Track action items, deadlines, department priorities, and special projects
- Maintain organized electronic and physical HR files and confidential records
- Serve as a central point of coordination for department-wide HR initiatives
- Support the implementation of HR initiatives, projects, policies, and organizational priorities
- Conduct research and prepare summaries, reports, presentations, and recommendations for HR leadership
- Assist with HR audits, compliance activities, workforce reporting, employee surveys, and data analysis
- Support HCM data integrity and reporting activities
- Assist with policy updates, process improvements, and development of HR procedures
- Coordinate cross-functional projects involving HR, Operations, Finance, Compliance, HI, and other departments
- Perform other special projects and assignments as directed by the HR Director, Senior Director of HR, or Chief People Officer
- Work collaboratively with and in support to the HR Engagement Team and their programming
- Assist with employee engagement surveys, focus groups, recognition programs, employee events, and culture initiatives
- Help coordinate employee appreciation and recognition activities
- Assist with communications and initiatives designed to strengthen employee engagement, retention, morale, and organizational culture
- Track participation, feedback, and outcomes associated with engagement initiatives
- Help communicate HR programs and initiatives to employees and leaders
- Demonstrate an understanding of the unique workforce needs and challenges associated with behavioral health services
- Support HR practices that promote employee retention, workforce stability, professional accountability, and a positive employee experience
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee, patient, organizational, and business information
- Work collaboratively with leaders in clinical, administrative, and operational areas to support workforce-related priorities
- Promote HR practices that support the organization's mission, values, compliance obligations, and commitment to quality care
Skills
- High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience in human resources; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level HR Spec 2 (HRP021) or position equivalent
