<div>This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer's site. AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska. Job Duties/Responsibilities: <ul><li>Virtual Machine Management: Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines (VMs) to ensure optimal performance and availability.</li><li>Resource Allocation: Managing the allocation of resources such as CPU, memory, and storage to VMs based on workload requirements and performance metrics</li><li>Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitoring the virtual environment for performance issues and optimizing VM configurations to enhance efficiency and stability.</li><li>Backup and Recovery: Implementing and managing backup and recovery procedures for VMs to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures or disasters.</li><li>Security Compliance: Ensuring that the virtual environment complies with organizational security policies and standards, implementing necessary security measures to protect VMs.</li><li>Capacity Planning: Conducting capacity planning and forecasting to ensure the virtual infrastructure can meet future demands and growth.</li><li>Incident Response: Providing advanced support during incidents involving virtual environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.</li><li>Documentation: Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of the virtual environment, including VM configurations, procedures, and policies.</li></ul> Required Clearance: TS/SCI (#tssci) Required Qualifications: <ul><li>Virtualization Technologies: In-depth knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or other relevant technologies.</li><li>System Administration: Proficiency in system administration tasks for both Windows and Unix/Linux environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.</li><li>Performance Tuning: Skills in performance tuning and optimization techniques for virtualized environments to ensure efficient resource utilization.</li><li>Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate routine tasks and streamline VM operations.</li><li>Senior-Level Experience: Extensive experience in managing virtualized environments, with a focus on operations, deployment, and optimization of VMs.</li><li>Certifications: Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or other virtualization-related certifications would be beneficial.</li><li>Project Management: Experience in managing projects related to the deployment and optimization of virtual environments.</li><li>Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address performance issues and improve the overall efficiency of the virtual infrastructure.</li><li>Candidate must have a Security + and will need to attain an ITIL 4 certification within 4 months of start.</li></ul> Desired Qualifications: <ul><li>Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations</li><li>Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations</li></ul> Our Senior Virtual Machine Operations and Deployment (VMOD) Analyst's earn between $71,600 - $145,000.
