Senior Virtual Machine Operations and Deployment (VMOD) Analyst (Government)

<div>This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer's site.<br/><br/>AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.<br/><br/><b>Job Duties/Responsibilities:</b><br/><ul><li><b>Virtual Machine Management: </b>Overseeing the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines (VMs) to ensure optimal performance and availability.</li><li><b>Resource Allocation: </b>Managing the allocation of resources such as CPU, memory, and storage to VMs based on workload requirements and performance metrics</li><li><b>Monitoring and Optimization: </b>Continuously monitoring the virtual environment for performance issues and optimizing VM configurations to enhance efficiency and stability.</li><li><b>Backup and Recovery: </b>Implementing and managing backup and recovery procedures for VMs to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures or disasters.</li><li><b>Security Compliance:</b> Ensuring that the virtual environment complies with organizational security policies and standards, implementing necessary security measures to protect VMs.</li><li><b>Capacity Planning:</b> Conducting capacity planning and forecasting to ensure the virtual infrastructure can meet future demands and growth.</li><li><b>Incident Response:</b> Providing advanced support during incidents involving virtual environments, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.</li><li><b>Documentation:</b> Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of the virtual environment, including VM configurations, procedures, and policies.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Required Clearance:</b><br/><br/>TS/SCI (#tssci)<br/><br/><b>Required Qualifications:</b><br/><ul><li><b>Virtualization Technologies:</b> In-depth knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or other relevant technologies.</li><li><b>System Administration:</b> Proficiency in system administration tasks for both Windows and Unix/Linux environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.</li><li><b>Performance Tuning:</b> Skills in performance tuning and optimization techniques for virtualized environments to ensure efficient resource utilization.</li><li><b>Scripting and Automation:</b> Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate routine tasks and streamline VM operations.</li><li><b>Senior-Level Experience:</b> Extensive experience in managing virtualized environments, with a focus on operations, deployment, and optimization of VMs.</li><li><b>Certifications:</b> Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or other virtualization-related certifications would be beneficial.</li><li><b>Project Management:</b> Experience in managing projects related to the deployment and optimization of virtual environments.</li><li><b>Analytical Skills:</b> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address performance issues and improve the overall efficiency of the virtual infrastructure.</li><li><b>Candidate must have a Security + and will need to attain an ITIL 4 certification within 4 months of start.</b></li></ul><br/><b>Desired Qualifications:</b><br/><ul><li>Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations</li><li>Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations</li></ul><br/><br/>Our Senior Virtual Machine Operations and Deployment (VMOD) Analyst's earn between $71,600 - $145,000.
