Are you a technical problem-solver who thrives in the fast-paced environment of live broadcasting? We're looking for a Technical Operations Specialist to be the backbone of our control room operations in Atlanta. In this role, you'll use your hands-on expertise to keep our broadcasts running smoothly, troubleshoot on the fly, and ensure every technical element comes together seamlessly for our viewers. WHAT YOU'LL DO: <ul><li>Provide technical support for remote guests using various video conferencing platforms</li><li>Provide support in managing incoming signals from the field</li><li>Organize and ingest video from field crews and affiliates for editorial use</li><li>Act as the primary technical support for operations for control room and studio for specified times</li><li>Work with network engineering and operations to ensure needs are met in control room and studio </li></ul>WHAT YOU'LL NEED: <ul><li>Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred</li><li>Specialized training/certification may be required</li><li>Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred </li></ul>WHAT YOU'LL BRING: <ul><li>Must work well under the pressure of a live broadcast</li><li>Must be able to make quick decisions and give accurate instructions</li><li>Ability to solve problems under pressure and apply hands-on knowledge to do so</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot issues over the phone with remote guests</li><li>Possess excellent organizational and communication skills</li><li>Must understand the entire scope of needs in the studio and control room</li><li>Good knowledge of IT applications in relation to television broadcast equipment</li><li>Flexible work hours are required, including weekends, holidays, and possible overtime hours </li></ul>WHERE YOU'LL LIVE, WORK AND PLAY: Atlanta is a vibrant, diverse city that perfectly blends Southern charm with big-city energy.
