Trusted Overnight Weekend Caregiver

About the Job

About Our Family I am looking for a dependable, trustworthy, and caring individual who can become a consistent part of our family’s support system. This is not a position where I am looking to hire someone today and leave my child with them tomorrow. Building trust is extremely important to me. I occasionally travel for pageants, events, and other commitments and would like to establish a relationship with one primary caregiver whom my son and I both know and trust. Before any overnight or multi-day care begins, I would like to meet with the selected person several times. Once I feel comfortable, I will introduce them to my son. From there, we will gradually transition into short babysitting periods before considering overnight or multi day care. I am looking for someone who is interested in developing a long-term relationship with our family, rather than someone looking for a one-time babysitting job. Safety Is My #1 Priority I want to be completely transparent about this portion of the position. My child’s physical and emotional safety is my highest priority. Our home has security cameras in common areas for household and safety purposes. A caregiver accepting this position should be comfortable working in a home with disclosed security cameras. I am not interested in micromanaging someone throughout the day. The cameras are simply an additional layer of protection for my child, my pet, my home, and ultimately the caregiver as well. I would also prepare a fixed rate or not hrly if possible Responsibilities may include: * Staying overnight in our home during scheduled trips * Maintaining my son’s normal daily routine * Preparing or reheating simple meals and snacks * Making sure he eats appropriately * Helping him stay on schedule * Bedtime supervision * Morning routines * Age-appropriate supervision * Providing companionship while still respecting his independence * Light cleanup of anything used during your stay * Keeping common areas reasonably organized * Communicating with me throughout the trip * Contacting me immediately if an emergency, illness, injury, behavioral concern, or unusual situation occurs * Following all household and safety rules * Never leaving my son unsupervised in circumstances we have not previously agreed upon * Never allowing unauthorized individuals into my home * Never taking my son somewhere without my knowledge or permission Yes, parking in front of the building and the train station is around the corner. I have a small Goldendoodle who is very loved and must be treated with patience and kindness at all times. Absolutely NO hitting, kicking, pushing, shaking, aggressive grabbing, yelling, intimidation, physical punishment, intentional neglect, or mistreatment of any kind. If he misbehaves, calmly redirect him or contact me. He generally goes outside a maximum of twice per day. Occasional walks may be needed during longer stays. He must ALWAYS be properly leashed outside and should never be left outside unattended or taken to a dog park without my permission. Please follow the feeding instructions provided, keep fresh water available, and do not give him unapproved food, medication, or supplements. If he becomes sick, injured, escapes, or anything concerning occurs, contact me immediately. Intentional mistreatment or neglect is grounds for immediate termination and appropriate further action.
