What You Will Be Doing <ul><li>Plan and deliver virtual small-group and one-on-one reading intervention sessions for students in grades 3–8</li><li>Use reading assessment data to target fluency and comprehension gaps and adjust instruction quickly</li><li>Differentiate activities across multiple reading levels, including support for dyslexia and related reading difficulties</li><li>Track progress in a clear, consistent way and use the data to plan the next sessions</li><li>Run structured motivation check-ins that build confidence, persistence, and pride in growth </li></ul>What You Won’t Be Doing <ul><li>Teach large, whole-class lessons or lecture from a fixed curriculum</li><li>Follow a pre-scripted program without adapting to student needs and real-time feedback</li><li>Act as a passive “software monitor” without meaningful instruction and connection</li><li>Rely on shallow rewards that do not build lasting motivation </li></ul>Virtual Reading Specialist Key Responsibilities Own outcomes for grades 3–8—measurable gains in fluency and comprehension—by delivering personalized virtual interventions and motivation support that builds confidence.
