Job Description Purpose of Job: The Warehouse Team Member I has the ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment - electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, WMS applications, and other shipping applications. Job Components <ul><li>Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship) </li><li>Load and unload batteries </li><li>Restock batteries </li><li>Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations </li><li>Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries </li><li>Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment </li><li>Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims </li><li>Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification </li><li>Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship) </li><li>General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas) </li><li>Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task </li><li>Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management </li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>High school graduate </li><li>Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills</li><li>No experience required. Experience in warehouse operations preferred - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment </li><li>Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required </li><li>High degree of accuracy and attention to detail </li><li>Sense of urgency and well organized </li></ul>Scope Data <ul><li>Interacts professionally within the warehouse distributor team</li><li>Interacts professionally with all other departments and team members </li><li>Accountable for individual accuracy and commitment to learning from mistakes</li><li>Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude </li></ul>Work Environment <ul><li>Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs </li><li>Consistent walking or walking during shift </li><li>Repetitive taping of boxes </li><li>Overtime required as deemed necessary </li><li>Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required</li><li>Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals </li></ul>Note: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.
