The Role
Join our team as a Community Engagement Coordinator. You'll use your communication skills and creativity to strengthen and engage our community through digital channels. Your work will include managing our social media presence, creating compelling content, coordinating community events, and building meaningful connections with the people we serve.
Your Responsibilities
• Manage social media accounts and online platforms to build community connection• Create and share compelling content that celebrates community members and highlights our mission• Attend and document community events, capturing authentic stories and moments• Support internal culture and staff engagement through meaningful messaging• Develop campaigns that connect regional partners and the broader community• Work on tight deadlines with strong organisational skills• Travel to events throughout the service areas as needed
Skills/background needed:No prior experience necessary. We're looking for someone with strong writing and communication skills, a genuine passion for community impact, and a people-oriented mindset. Experience with social media management or digital marketing is a plus but not required. A portfolio or examples of past work are helpful but not essential. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this role.

Contract length:Ongoing independent contractor role, 20-30 hours per week
