Quality Assurance Specialist – Learning & Development

We are working with our client in the defense technology industry to locate an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to support a structured onboarding and field-readiness program for approximately 60 Field Test Engineers and future hires. The client is developing a more consistent and measurable onboarding experience using self-paced learning, technical job aids, structured on-the-job training (OJT), coach guidance, and performance-based qualification assessments.The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for instructional, editorial, functional, and documentation quality assurance of technical training materials, ensuring consistency, accuracy, completeness, and readiness for client approval and launch. Start Date: ASAPDuration: Through December 2026 for Phase 1; potential extensionHours: Up to 20 hours per weekLocation: Remote Responsibilities:<ul><li>Review self-paced learning modules, technical job aids, OJT checklists, coach guides, and competency assessments against approved quality standards.</li><li>Verify alignment between learning objectives, instructional content, activities, and assessments.</li><li>Review materials for clarity, consistency, grammar, formatting, version control, and completeness.</li><li>Test eLearning functionality, including navigation, interactions, knowledge checks, and accessibility considerations.</li><li>Maintain QA checklists, defect logs, review status, revision tracking, and documentation of issue resolution.</li><li>Collaborate with instructional designers, developers, project managers, and technical reviewers to resolve issues, while supporting client SME validation of technical accuracy.</li><li>Support pilot refinements, final quality reviews, and launch-readiness checks.</li></ul> Required Experience:<ul><li>Experience performing instructional QA/QC for eLearning, technical training materials, and instructional design deliverables.</li><li>Strong editing, proofreading, documentation review, and version control skills.</li><li>Experience testing eLearning functionality and verifying alignment between learning objectives, content, and assessments.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple review cycles, track revisions, and document issue resolution.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate with instructional designers, developers, and technical SMEs.</li></ul> Preferred Experience:<ul><li>Experience reviewing technical or safety-sensitive training materials in defense, aerospace, manufacturing, energy, or industrial environments.</li><li>Familiarity with eLearning accessibility standards, functional testing, and document control systems.</li><li>Experience reviewing structured OJT materials, competency assessments, and technical qualification programs.</li></ul> NOTE: 100% Virtual PositionsDue to the nature of this virtual position, we anticipate a high number of responses from interested applicants.
