YouTube Video Editor Needed – Video Game, Movie & Anime Character Lore

I'm looking for a creative and reliable video editor for a growing YouTube channel focused on video game, movie, and anime character lore, including origin stories, hidden backstories, and connections to upcoming releases.

I'm looking for someone who understands storytelling, YouTube audience retention, and how to make videos visually engaging.

Responsibilities

Edit 8–9 minute YouTube videos using scripts and voiceovers I provide.

Source relevant gameplay, movie scenes, anime footage, trailers, and character cutscenes.

Match visuals closely to the narration.

Create highly engaging openings, especially during the first 2 minutes.

Use a combination of actual footage, gameplay, character images, music, and appropriate effects.

Maintain strong pacing and smooth transitions throughout each video.

Research and locate character-specific footage independently.

Editing Style

I want videos that feel like engaging mini-documentaries, not generic AI-generated slideshows.

I strongly prefer authentic gameplay, movie, and anime footage over generic stock videos or AI-generated visuals.

The first 2 minutes are particularly important. I want frequent visual changes, compelling clips, and editing that keeps viewers interested.

Clips should generally be short, around 6 seconds or less, with thoughtful, transformative editing. Footage must be used responsibly, following applicable copyright requirements.
